Oregon State football player Malcolm Marable had a second run-in with the law this offseason early Sunday morning, according to a Corvallis Police report.
Marable, a 20-year-old sophomore cornerback, was arrested on charges of violent conduct at 12:04 a.m. after he allegedly hit a downtown nightclub security person while trying to free teammate Ryan Murphy.
Murphy, 19, was detained by an Impulse staff member because he allegedly tried to enter the bar using the driver’s license of teammate Anthony Watkins.
Murphy was cited for trespassing and misrepresentation of age. Both players were cited and released and are scheduled to appear in Benton County Circuit Court on May 16.
Coach Mike Riley did not return messages Thursday afternoon. Officials said the matter will be handled internally.
