If Comcast can afford what you are asking for certainly Direct TV can. However, if Pac 12 TV revenues go to investors (as well as university boosters, etc.) who expect to reap a profit, perhaps they will be the losers. All those games listed in the above are “nothing type” , uninteresting games that has not excitement except for a small group of people from those universitities. Actually, I would like to know the structure of the Pac12-TV: who are the investors and where does the money go, and what party is engaged in negotions and scheduling.

Direct TV’s impasse with Pac 12 network is denying Oregon residents to watch the traditional Civil War battle between two Top 20 football teams.

This may cause a whole bunch of Oregonians to defect to Dish Network. Seriously.

Why shouldn’t the Pac-12 play hardball with Direct-TV that’s what they do to us the subscribers. How many times has Direct taken programing off the air and used us as their pawns to get a better deal from the channels that WE signed up for and pay for. There is two easy was to get the Pac-12 games, one find some one with either Dish or Comcast or, Two dump Direct-tv pay and get either Dish or Comcast. Stick to your guns Larry Scott.

The Pac 12 is playing hardball with Directv using our pocketbooks and our love for our teams against us. They obtained a collegiate sports record $3 billion license deal in 2011 from ESPN/Fox, and are demanding terms or blocking games. The Pac 12 is mostly comprised of public universities with an equal opportunity mandate, yet the Pac 12 is being run like a professional sports franchise with little responsibility to alumn and fans. The P12 commissioner Larry Scott, who did not graduate from a Pac12 school, says he modeled the Pac12 fees on the NFL, NBA and Lakers.

In the meantime if you want to watch the Utes and Cal this weekend, No Soup For You on Directv.

If interested there is a recent petition circulating to encourage the Pac 12 universities and commissioner to cool down, and come to an agreement now.

As a fan of the Colorado Buffaloes, AND a DISH subscriber/employee, I’m really glad I have the Pac-12 Network on my lineup. We switched from DirecTV to DISH last year, and this (along with Hopper, free Premiums, HD etc.) is another reason we are glad we made the move. When CU switched to the Pac-12 I was a bit nervous with the conference upgrade, but Football isn’t the only sport available on Pac-12. They will also be showing hundreds of basketball, baseball and other sporting events! If you’re a true Pac-12 fan, DISH is the only way to go.

I have been visiting my daughter up in Oregon. I hoped when I returned the matter would be resolved. It has not been. Looks like I will have no choice but to leave DirecTV and move to Dish. I cannot believe they would ignore all of their describers. I am going to miss some of their channels, but I have to see my Cats. I could barely tolerate not seeing Wild Football.
