Pac 12 Football Expansion: Time is running down on the Pac-12 Football Conference.  It seems right after kick-off or the start of the 2011 season, the Pac 12 football team setup will be gone before we even looked at our football program.   It is getting closer to changing again. On Monday the realignment process in college athletics took another couple of big steps in moving forward. The University of Oklahoma Board of Regents has voted unanimously to give President David Boren authority to pursue a new conference home for the Sooners. The University of Texas System Board of Regents voted unanimously to give President David William Powers the same authority just hours later. This means that Oklahoma and Texas are each taking the next step in searching for a new conference to be affiliated with for collegiate athletics. I’m not sure if that will be used instead of two 8-team divisions or in conjunction with them like we see in the NFL. My guess it will be both.
