PAC-12 Football Suspends 10 Players

Pac 12 Football Suspensions Ten players, including four Arizona Wildcats, have been suspended for their roles in an on-field brawl during the UA’s 48-12 win over UCLA Thursday night at Arizona Stadium. Cornerback Shaquille Richardson and nickelback Jourdon Grandon will miss next week’s game against Washington, while cornerback Lyle Brown and safety Mark Watley have been suspended for the first half. The Pac-12 Conference announced the disciplinary action tonight. Commissioner Larry Scott said in a statement that the conference is “extremely disappointed in the actions of the student-athletes involves in this incident. “It is unacceptable behavior and violated conference rules as well as NCAA fighting rules,” he said. “I have taken these actions today because it is imperative that we hold our student-athletes and coaches to the highest standard of sportsmanship.” Interim head coach Tim Kish said he was “disappointed for Arizona and UCLA.&# ...
